A Sculptural Outdoor Pavilion for a New Property Development in Suzhou, China

MARC FORNES / THEVERYMANY designed a large-scale sculptural outdoor pavilion on the elevated plaza of the Suzhou Center in China, as part of the Jinji Lake Biennial.

Named ‘Boolean Operator’, the installation has been crafted from white aluminium, with the design featuring a ‘porous shell’, that casts a delicate shadow.

The installation is made from 1,673 stripes (CNC cut), with 20 spheroids, 21 flairs, and 26 structural nodes.
