Artistic Bubble Screen by Christophe Côme

A former printing loft building in New York has recently been converted into 20 residences. As part of the redesign by Morris Adjmi Architects, they created a lobby that includes a ‘bubble screen’ made by artist Christophe Côme.

The art piece located in the The Schumacher building, was made with iron that Côme shapes and forms. When the form is ready, he then pairs the shapes with industrial crystal and molded glass lenses that are transformed through carving, melting, and slumping.

The end result is a unique and intriguing art feature that doubles as a room divider within the lobby.
