Completed in 2024 in Curitiba, Paraná, the Nest apartment features a contemporary aesthetic that blends Scandinavian minimalism with modernist influences, creating a serene and welcoming atmosphere. With 103 square meters of living space, the carefully coordinated color palette is dominated by neutral tones like beige and off-white, creating a calm and sophisticated atmosphere.
With an open-plan living room and kitchen, the living and dining spaces are connected, providing visual fluidity and functionality. A textured natural stone wall, combined with earthy tones and soft surfaces, creates a play of materials that adds depth and makes the space more inviting. Curved-line furniture, like the armchairs and sofa, softens the rigidity of hard materials, enhancing the sense of comfort. Natural light is maximized through large windows, complemented by contemporary light fixtures that offer an artistic and functional touch.
The neutral palette is punctuated by subtle accents, such as light wood chairs and vibrant red details in the kitchen, creating a focal point without compromising the design’s sobriety. The round dining table, finished in light wood, reinforces the natural and oarganic aesthetic of the space. The kitchen’s textured stone wall covering brings a tactile layer that contrasts with the softness of the furniture.
The choice of furniture reflects a pursuit of simple forms and natural materials. The chairs, with curved backs made of light wood and wicker seats, evoke Scandinavian design, while the slatted wooden coffee table contributes to a contemporary and artistic atmosphere. The use of renowned design pieces, such as architecture books and Bauhaus-style elements, highlights the project’s intellectual and modern personality.
Suspended plants complement the interior design, adding a freshness that balances the earthy tones and the more austere architectural elements. The plants were strategically placed to bring life to the apartment without overwhelming the visual harmony. By combining functionality with an aesthetic approach that prioritizes comfort and visual lightness, the result is a contemporary, sophisticated, and timeless environment.
