Vibrating Surfaces in Marble and Glass by Radar in Paris, France

Radar presents its new collection at Maison&Objet show in Paris, in the exhibition area entitled Unique & Eclectic – Espace Signature.

Original and eclectic, the pieces selected for Signature focus on an original and yet unseen use of Carrara marble for the thin top of coffee tables and wall lamps in the Solco line. Carved in its mass with a wave pattern, which has been sketched by hand by Radar’s designers, made of actual sinuous lines in relief, the marble acquires a dynamic, light, and poetic overall appearance favouring a new “tactile” design.
A scenographic sculpture of light, the Cometa floor lamp captures the eye with its two 40 cm diameter light diffusing domes in the glass, in the models Zenith or Fractal with gold, silver or Iris finish matched with a black matt lacquered structure.

The same finishes characterise the line of floor, table and ceiling lamps Cyclope, with adjustable glass diffusers.

With Nebbia, Radar is signing a new line of hand-crafted glass products evoking a material in transition, in-between a solid and liquid state. Each lamp from the collection is a unique piece – light and fascinating due to the reflections and ripples, particularly in the new bronze finish.

Presented also the new elements in the Mirage line, which is enriched with a coffee table and a series of trays which are skillfully made by hand in hammered glass and play with the reflections of light giving life to spectacular iridescent effects reminiscent of a shimmering water surface.
